Manpower South Africa has a 30% black shareholding as defined by the broad based BEE act of 2003, and has been certified a Level 4 BBBEE Contributor.

A focus on social responsibility issues is of utmost importance for Manpower. We play a vital role in the communities where our employees, contractors and candidates live and work. Due to our working relationships with thousands of employers, we are uniquely positioned to help countless underprivileged individuals develop new skills and eliminate barriers to employment; making it possible to find sustainable employment opportunities.

Manpower South Africa’s social investment and enterprise development initiatives focus on the financial, operational management, and mentorship support of the Refilwe work creation and skills development project in Gauteng.

Project Refilwe is a community project and focuses on supplying work opportunities for unemployed individuals from the Lanseria informal settlement. The project also focuses on addressing skills shortages in the unemployed sector. Scarce skills within the local industrial areas are identified and unemployed individuals from the local informal settlements are trained in these skills. This skills development initiative increases the individuals’ likelihood of finding suitable employment opportunities through the Manpower network of clients.
